Organizing within the IBEW is of the utmost importance. Organizing is in fact the foundation in which Local #31 builds its future upon. Recently we have organized workers in the City of Wadena and the City of Brainerd. The Service dispatchers for Minnesota Power are Local 31’s newest members.

Currently efforts are underway to organize a number of groups throughout Northeastern Minnesota. Our efforts don’t stop here. We are continuously searching for prospective groups to organize. One thing is certain; there is no shortage of non-union workers. The future for organizing is wide open!
